Community Resources

WAKECommunities and Wake Affinity Groups are led by alumni and parent volunteers working in partnership with the Wake Forest Alumni Engagement office. Many WAKECommunities and Affinity Groups operate within a board structure, while others have one or two volunteers who provide the vision for the community. Each community structure is largely dependant on the number of Wake Forest alumni, parents & families and friends in that city or region.

The Wake Forest Alumni Engagement team works with volunteers in all corners of the globe to connect Deacons where they live, and also by professional and personal interests. In order to establish an official WAKECommunity, we need to have a critical mass of 150+ alumni and parents in your geographic area. If you live in an area that does not reach that threshold, do not be discouraged! There are many ways that you can still be involved. Email alumni@wfu.edu if you have questions about WAKECommunities and Affinity Groups, or if you would like to be involved locally.
