Farewell 2025, Hello 2029!

It is hard to believe it has been four weeks already since Wake Forest University’s Class of 2025 walked onto the Commencement stage as students and off as its newest alumni. Alongside the new graduates and the general excitement of the day was a notable achievement: Wake Forest’s 100,000th graduate!

Not only does this mark a significant milestone for our University, it also means that as these new alums step out into the world to the encouragement of President Susan Wente, calling on them in her Commencement address to “[go] forth, be brave, and leave good in your wake,” they join an ever-growing community of Demon Deacons ready to support them.

As they do, we turn to welcome the next generation of Wake Forest students, the Class of 2029 and beyond. We host a variety of events throughout the summer for new and prospective students alike.

For our new Class of 2029 students and their families, we are holding more than 30 in-person New Student Receptions across the country, as well as a virtual option on Tuesday, June 24, at 7 p.m. EST. These receptions are fantastic opportunities to meet other 2029 families in your area. Check out our upcoming WAKECommunities events to see if there’s a New Student Reception near you.

We’re also looking ahead to future Deacs even further out. The next Alumni Admissions Forum, which helps alumni and their high school students learn more about the college admissions process, takes place on Friday, June 27. The forum covers helpful information about admissions in general as well as Wake Forest specifics. If you are an alum with an interested high schooler, register here!
