WAKEBayArea is a volunteer-led group dedicated to engaging alumni, parents and friends in the area. We plan programs throughout the year for all ages to participate in social, athletic, networking, and service opportunities. We hope you will join us at our next event. Go Deacs!

Upcoming Events

Mar 22

Pro Humanitate Days 2026 - Bay Area - GLIDE Daily Free Meals Program

3:30 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.

Volunteers will be assisting with dinner served to the community: everything from serving food and bussing tables to handing out silverware and condiments. All volunteers must be fully vaccinated, wear closed-toe shoes, no tank tops or sleeveless tops, and be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. If you are bringing minors, you will need to sign an online waiver before the project. There is not street parking available, but there is a garage about a 5-minute walk from Powell St. Station. Upon arrival, volunteers should check-in via the iPad sign-in system at the front desk, then report to the dining room where they will be given directions by the staff.
